This session is lead by digital marketing consultant, Melissa Barker. She has been a speaker at ITEXPO, InnoTech Oregon, Digital Summit, and interviewed on podcasts and KGW about marketing strategy. She authored the first college textbook on social media strategy, "Social Media Marketing: A Strategic Approach" and developed the first accredited social media certificate in Washington State in 2010. In addition, Melissa has worked both in-house and as a consultant for a variety of high-tech companies, such as Hubb, Act-On Software, Jive Software, Integra (now All-Stream), Instore, and Siber Systems. She's also worked for nonprofits like OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting), providing strategic consulting for digital marketing. Melissa received her M.B.A from Willamette University and a B.A. in Public Relations & Advertising from Gonzaga University.
