Orange Corners - Erbil Accelerator

A world-class program that supports later-stage entrepreneurs from across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to expand and professionalize their startups. For four months our team, along with other specialized consultants and experts, will provide entrepreneurs with tailored and practical support in specific areas of their startup.

The Accelerator will accept 10 to 15 participants, catering to the best startups in the region, helping them scale and expand.

Who is qualified?

To be eligible for the Accelerator program, startups must meet the following criteria:

Innovation: The startup should provide innovative solutions to customers.
Later Stage: It has to have been in the market for at least 1 year, and it should have existing customers and revenue; the startup should be able to show financials and their customer base.
Business Operation: It should have a physical office space or, in case that is not applicable, an online platform.
Traction: The startup must already have proven traction and scalability.
Growth Plans: The startup must show a clear plan and vision for growth and expansion.

The program is open to both Five One Labs and Orange Corners - Erbil alumni and new participants as well.

Our Startup Support team reviews the applications on a rolling basis, and those who pass the first screening stage will be asked to send a one-minute video assignment or their startup pitch deck. The received assignments will be examined, and after further evaluation and assessment, the shortlisted candidates will begin the due diligence process, including providing the below documents:

Business plan: including a marketing plan, value proposition, team structure, targeted audience, competitive analysis, and other information, as available.
Growth plan: Including, how the founder is planning to grow their business and how this growth plan will contribute to and support that growth
Recorded financial transactions: Including financial income statements for their revenue and expenses in the last twelve months.

Program Methodology

Entrepreneurs in the Accelerator are immersed in practical, hands-on training and consulting tailored to their specific startup’s needs. The training sessions are designed to ensure that each entrepreneur has time to utilize the new skills from the session for their business.

This program aims to support later-stage entrepreneurs located throughout the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, facilitating the expansion and professionalization of their businesses. The program will seek to identify and provide support to top-tier businesses that are poised to scale and broaden their operational footprint.

Advanced Training

The program will provide advanced group training, emphasizing practical, targeted advisory support, fostering useful connections, hiring support, and catalyzing partnerships to propel businesses toward their growth goals. Each training is spread over two days with six hours of intensive learning each day, at our dedicated space in Erbil.
