Accelerator Program

The Orange Corners Accelerator, designed and implemented by Five One Labs, is a four-month startup accelerator that supports later-stage startups in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq ready to scale, grow, and access investment opportunities. The program aims to equip ambitious entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and networks needed to expand their operational footprint and professionalize their businesses. During the four-month program, participants will explore key topics such as: Growth strategies, Pricing strategies, Financial management, and Investment readiness. The Accelerator will run from August to November 2025.

Selection Criteria

  • Creativity and Innovation: Your business should introduce a new product or service, solve a problem in an innovative way, or fill a market gap with a unique approach.

  • Sustainability Focus (Optional): While not mandatory, startups that align with sustainable practices or relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are highly valued.

  • Focus Areas: We prioritize tech-based, tech-enabled, innovative startups, as well as those in agribusiness or focused on green and sustainable solutions.

  • Business Operations: Your startup should have a physical office or a functional online platform.

  • Growth Plans: A clear and ambitious vision for business growth and expansion is required.

  • Diversity: We welcome founders from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and genders.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Language: The program is conducted in English. A strong understanding of the language is required to participate effectively.

  • Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old.

  • Startup Stage: We support later-stage startups. Your business must have been operating for at least 6 to 12 months and should have existing customers and revenue.

  • Founder Commitment: This program is for founders only. Full commitment to all training sessions and activities is essential. We are looking for founders who are eager to engage, accept feedback, apply new ideas, and invest their time and energy into growing their business.

  • Application Form: If all the above requirements are met, you may proceed to submit your application for the Orange Corners Accelerator.

Phase 1: Application and Selection

  • Review the eligibility and selection criteria.

  • Complete and submit the application form.

  • Applications will be reviewed within one month. 

All applicants will be notified of the results by email.

Phase 2: Pre-Accelerator Program

  • Selected candidates will first join a short Pre-Accelerator Program, a preparatory phase designed to introduce startups to the expectations, pace, and core themes of the Accelerator. This phase also serves as a final selection filter, allowing us to assess participants’ readiness and commitment before confirming their place in the full Accelerator program.
