International Women’s Day: Startup Spotlight on Healthy Pak and TRANSFORMA-TEX

In celebration of International Women's Day, we are excited to showcase two remarkable women entrepreneurs who have not only carved a niche for themselves but are also making a significant impact in their respective industries.

Healthy Pak: Nourishing Bodies, Empowering Lives

Healthy Pak, a thriving brand and cloud kitchen based in Duhok since 2020, is at the forefront of the healthy eating movement. Dedicated to providing nutritious and delectable meals and products, the company's mission extends beyond food accessibility. Dilpak M. Yousif, the visionary behind Healthy Pak, emerged as one of the winners of the Five One Labs Tech Incubator Program in Sulaimani in 2019.

The journey for Dilpak began with challenges – limited resources and a lack of business management expertise. However, participation in the Tech Incubator Program opened doors to entrepreneurship and countless opportunities. Mentorship initiatives and the incubator's support significantly enhanced her skills, transforming challenges into stepping stones for success.

For Dilpak, consistency and passion are the driving forces behind her ongoing success. The commitment to advocating for healthy eating habits, ingredient transparency, and environmental sustainability is evident in every aspect of Healthy Pak's operations. Today, Healthy Pak stands as a testament to Dilpak's dedication to empowering communities through mindful and nutritious food choices.

TRANSFORMA-TEX: Revolutionizing the Textile Industry with Adriana Hernández

Adriana Hernández, the founder of TRANSFORMA-TEX, is not just an industrial engineer but a visionary, a wife, and a mother. With a background in industrial engineering and project management, Adriana seamlessly blends professional expertise with a deep-rooted passion for fashion and innovation.

Raised in a family of seamstresses, Adriana's connection to the textile industry runs deep. What sets her apart is her unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability. Joining the Five One Labs incubator was a pivotal moment for Adriana and TRANSFORMA-TEX. The incubator provided her with the necessary support, training, and connections to turn her vision into reality.

Amidst the challenges, including navigating entrepreneurship while expecting a child, Adriana honed her skills, refined her business model, and expanded her network. After three months of intensive work, TRANSFORMA-TEX secured the first-place prize in the Incubator, earning $15,000 to kickstart the venture. Adriana's inspiration comes not only from her first baby, Valentina, but also from her desire to encourage women to follow their vision:

"If you try, you will succeed; if you don't try, you'll regret it forever."

TRANSFORMA-TEX aims to lead the transformation towards a sustainable and environmentally responsible textile industry in the Caribbean Region. By recovering, reusing, and treating PET plastic in eco-friendly industrial processes, the company seeks to obtain ecological fabrics that offer quality, affordability, comfort, and style. Striving to make an impact on the global issues of pollution,  TRANSFORMA-TEX incorporates innovative techniques to reduce energy and water consumption while minimizing emissions of pollutants into the environment.

This International Women's Day, let's celebrate the achievements of Dilpak M. Yousif and Adriana Hernández, two inspiring entrepreneurs whose dedication and innovation are shaping a brighter, more sustainable future. Join us in supporting and amplifying their voices as we honor the spirit of women entrepreneurs around the world.
