Are you an aspiring entrepreneur interested in registering your business in Sulaimani or Erbil, but don’t have the resources to do it on your own? Or maybe, you simply don’t know how?
Five One Labs is working with entrepreneurs to give them the tools and knowledge to help you launch and grow your business legally!
Registration is a key step in building a successful, sustainable business in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, but the process can be long and complicated. Although many people choose to wait to register their businesses, legal advisors, lawyers, and government employees encourage entrepreneurs to register as soon as they start their business. By doing this, you are able to protect yourself and your business in case something goes wrong.
So, what exactly are we doing to support entrepreneurs to register their business?

In partnership with the Netherlands Consulate General in Erbil, Orange Corners, and the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani Entrepreneurship Initiative (AEI) we have created a practical guide for registering your business in English and Kurdish. This guide will give you an understanding of WHY it is important to register your business, and more importantly, HOW to register. Legal Support
We will support a handful of passionate entrepreneurs to register their businesses! Depending on your situation, we can provide one on one advisory, financial support, and legal clinics with lawyers to help you complete the complex registration process for your business. Anyone is welcome to join the legal workshops we’ll have in both Sulaimani and Erbil, as well as talk on-on-one with lawyers at our Labs in both locations!
We will also provide financial and legal support to a smaller number of startups to go through the registration process for their business.

A detailed budget for what you need to spend money on during your registration process
250-500 word essay on how registration will benefit your business
Strategy document (we don’t want to make them a full business plan but need to know they are thinking about stuff)
Make sure to apply by March 1st, 2020 to be considered!
