Our session will be hosted by Ramki Vaidyanathan, a principal product manager with Starbucks who works with the motto of delighting 15 million + customers on their mobile platforms. As part of his day job, Ramki works with a team of cross-functional stakeholders defining problems, ideating on hypothesis, defining metrics and eventually launching the features that benefit customers as well as Starbucks. He is a strong believer and an advocate of working backward philosophy starting with the customer and keeping their needs as the first and foremost priority. End of the day, a happy customer translates to a successful business.
Ramki started his career 17 years back as an engineer working on enterprise CRM solutions for telecom companies in Europe. After 6 years in the engineering domain, he went to do an MBA and transitioned to the management space. As part of his management stint, Ramki had the opportunity to work with several retailers in the US helping them define and execute e-Commerce solutions. Subsequently, he worked for Amazon as a senior product manager and in the course of time transitioned to Starbucks.
Ramki lives in Seattle with his wife and 4.5 years old daughter. He is passionate about running and biking and is working on his swimming skills at the moment with the aim of becoming a triathlete.
